HealthTrust Software is the designer of the most compliant and cost effective software solutions in the health care industry. Our flagship product, mjsONE, was developed by consultants, health care attorneys, nurses, therapists and technology experts over a ten year period. HealthTrust offers software products for home health agencies, therapy providers, and outpatient clinics.

Leadership Team

Chief Executive Officer: Jonathon A. Kovar, J.D.

Jonathon is a health care attorney who has assisted more than 100 home health agencies, physicians, DME providers, hospices, therapy providers, and outpatient clinics to become more compliant and more efficient by utilizing technology to streamline and enhance the documentation process. He has worked with agencies facing ZPIC audits and state Medicaid investigations. He has taught seminars on HIPAA compliance, documentation and billing strategies, and advanced technology utilization. For nearly ten years, Jonathon has been an advocate for health care providers. In 2002, he became the initial developer of mjsONE, the flagship software program of HealthTrust Software. While Chief Development Officer at MJS and Associates, he worked with a team of compliance nurses and the best compliance consultants in the industry to develop mjsONE. In early 2009, Jonathon and team of developers purchased mjsONE from MJS and founded HealthTrust. Since that time, the mjsONE program has helped more than 1,500 administrators and clinicians grow their businesses while increasing their compliance and lowering their cost of service.

Jonathon graduated with his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston in 2009. His wife, Tiffany, is a health care consultant and active member of the Texas Association of Home Care and Hospice's Pediatric committee.

Chief Technology Officer: Rob Sammons

Rob Sammons was recruited by HealthTrust and joined the firm in mid-2010 as Chief Technology Officer. Rob brings more than 15 years experience in the technology sector, including experience leading teams at innovative health care companies such as NextProcess and HIPAA/SAS 70 Compliant, Inc. and at top Fortune 100 companies Raytheon and Hewlett-Packard. Since joining HealthTrust, Rob has restructured the HealthTrust network to allow for expanded capacity and security, handling more than 100,000 data connections per day, a full-featured electronic medical record storage and retrieval system and an automated electronic billing feature allowing mjsONE users to send claims to virtually every payer in the country without leaving the mjsONE program. Rob's expertise has allowed HealthTrust to expand its service offerings to include electronic fax integration and desktop synchronization of electronic medical records.

Rob received his Master's of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. He has certifcations as a Six Sigma Greenbelt, Project Management Professional (PMP),CISSP,HP-UX Security Expert, CCNA, MCSD and MCSE.

Client Support Manager: Ashley Broadus

Ashley brings more than ten years of direct health care billing, collections, and software support experience to HealthTrust Software. Ashley was formerly a Billing Supervisor at MJS and Associates, where she assisted home health agencies and DME providers with medical billing and collections expertise. While at MJS, she served as one of the very first support team members for the mjsONE program. She joined HealthTrust in 2009 as Client Support Manager. In that role, she helps train and educate mjsONE users on how to best utilize the system's unique and powerful feature set.

Compliance Consultant: Jan Spears

Jan, while not an official employee of HealthTrust (she owns her own consulting firm, MJS and Associates), is still one of the most valuable resources available to the HealthTrust Software team. Jan is the founder and CEO of one of the best health care consulting firms in the nation. With over 20 years of health care experiance as a home health agency owner, administrator and consultant, she is regularly asked to speak at state and regional conferences on topics related to compliance and operational strategies. mjsONE, the flagship product of HealthTrust Software, was oringally developed at MJS under Jan's leadership. She continues to provide advice and expertise that guides the product's ongoing development. Her team of compliance nurses also review, audit and improve the mjsONE program, especially the point of care clinical documentation system.
